    Trek Overview

Kumara Parvatha, also known as Pushpagiri, is the third highest peak in karnataka and one of the most challenging treks in Southern part of India.

This trek tests your endurance at each level. It is difficult trek but most rewarding one with breathtaking views, forest trails, and a panoramic view of grassland.

The Journey Begins: Base Camp at Kukke Subramanya

The trek to Kumara Parvatha begins at Kukke Subramanya, a small town famous for its temple dedicated to Lord Subramanya. Trekkers can start the ascent from the temple through dense forest. The forest is so dense that sunlight rarely penetrates through it. The stretch is around 4 km until you reach to Bheema rock. You can take rest, have some snacks at this point. Next hike of about a km will take you to Bhattara Mane which will be your resting point for the day. This small house is run by locals where they provide food and shelter for trekkers. You will have to prebook your lunch and dinner at Batta's house beforehand. A Viewpoint of sheesh parvatha is very close to Bhattara mane. You can visit your surrounding post lunch and relax for the day.

The Final Ascent to Kumara Parvatha

You can start early for the next day trek. The trek will be challenging as you ascent further. The trail will open up to a grassland with some amazing views from the top. The terrain becomes rockier and steeper as we climb further. Once you reach to the summit, it will all be worth it. You will be amazed by the views of western ghats, mist covered valleys. We highly recommend to sit down, relax and get some music with you to enjoy this view.

After you get the most out of the place, you can start descending from the same route till Bhattara mane. You can enjoy your home cooked lunch and then slowly descend further to the base.
