Gokarna is home to five stunning beaches and it's connecting mountains: Gokarna Main Beach, Kudle Beach, Om Beach, Half Moon Beach, and Paradise Beach.

For trekking enthusiasts, Gokarna offers a scenic 10 km coastal trail that takes around 5-6 hours to complete, depending on how much time you spend at each stop. Here’s a guide to what you can expect:
Starting Point: Paradise Beach to Half moon Beach
Most treks begin at Paradise Beach, with the trail leading toward Half Moon Beach. This segment is moderately challenging as you have just started the trek and passing through some rocky terrain. It's crucial to wear anti skid shoes and take care of each step . Once you reach Half Moon Beach, you can take a break to relax and take some sips of nature.
Next Stop: Om Beach
From Half Moon Beach, the trek continues to Om Beach. The path initially takes you through a dense forest, eventually opening up to cliffs overlooking the ocean. As the trail progresses, you will start loving gokarna even more. Om Beach is a popular spot for visitors. It's a great place to swim and enjoy some delicious local food at one of the beachside cafes.
Toward Kudle Beach
The trail from Om Beach to Kudle Beach is much easier, with a relatively flat terrain, making it a quick and enjoyable walk. Kudle Beach is known for its stunning sunsets, so it’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and soak in the golden sky.
Towards the end: Gokarna Main Beach
From Kudle Beach, the trek continues to a road leading to Gokarna Main Beach. This offers plenty of options to rewind on the adventure and build some personal connection with people around you.
Essential Tips for Your Gokarna Trek
- Stay Hydrated: Carry two water bottle to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Gokarna is relatively warmer if you are travelling from Bangalore.
- Sun Protection: Carry few essentials like hat, sunglasses, sunscreen if you want to avoid getting tanned.
- Swim Wear: Carry an extra set of cloth to change after your dip. You can also wear a quick dry cloth to avoid carrying a lot of items.
- Safely kit: It is always wise to carry first aid kit when you are travelling and that too when it is an adventure. You can bring your antiseptic cream, pain killers, bandages , etc. Please make sure not to use them.
